The Secret Life of Trees - Guided Walk

Can you see the forest through the trees? There is a hidden world that many do not get to see: The secret life of trees. Join Park staff as they unravel the mysterious ways trees survive, how they interact with the world around them and how they contribute to the next generation of forests.

Life of the Lake - Guided Hike

Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Location: Miquelon Lake Provincial Park

Remember when mammoths and giant beavers used to roam the earth? Well, Miquelon sure does! Travel through time and join Park staff on this guided hike where you will witness the life of Miquelon Lake, from their birth to now! From giant glaciers; Pelicans frolicking in the waves; to ancient bison bones coming out of the sand today; and more, the life changing stories of our friend Miquelon Lake are truly a splash!

  • Meet at the Hand-launch Day-use Area (Beside Group Camp #3).
  • Hike Difficulty: Medium for uneven terrain and going off trail. Minimum recommended age: 8 years old.

From the Wrong Side of the Meadow - Theatre Show

Time: 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Location: Miquelon Lake Provincial Park

Once upon a time, there lived a Coyote. Coyote was a good dog. Or, maybe they were a bad dog? After a run-in with a human, Coyote set out to create an evil squad of “problem animals” to help them get revenge. In this story we will tell a wild tale of conflict, coexistence, and awkward dancing! Whether you’re brave like a wolf, grouchy like a goose, busy like a beaver, or even a regular human, this story is for you.
