Biosphere Receives Alberta Heritage Award

On September 26, Beaver Hills Biosphere was honoured at the 2024 Alberta Heritage Awards ceremony with a Heritage Awareness Award for our storytelling video project.

We are grateful to Dr. Melanie Moore for nominating us and extend deepest appreciation to Dylan Reade for his extraordinary filmmaking talents and his passion for the history of the Edmonton region that brought the videos to life.

We thank the Biosphere’s partners and all the people who contributed their time, stories, experiences and knowledge of the region and its diverse history.

We also congratulate our fellow award recipients whose passion, efforts and projects demonstrate the incredible diversity and dedication to preserving heritage across the province.
